Credentials and Homeopathic Training
There is currently no official licensing for homeopaths, so the consumer must make an assessment of the training and ability of any homeopath they are consulting. This page is meant to give you basic information about my training and background, to help with your evaluation. If you require more details, please don't hesitate to contact me - Mary Marlowe.
I discovered homeopathy in early 1996, while searching for an alternative to prednisone and topical steroids - my case was a typical one where the treatment was more dangerous than the disease. I was so impressed with my overall improvement in health and well being after homeopathic treatment, that I decided I had to learn how to practice homeopathy for myself.
Here is how I have gone about my studies:
I completed a Foundation Course of 210 hours with Durr Elmore, ND August 28, 1998.
I have 20 hours with Jeremy Sherr from February 14-16, 1997.
I have 17 hours with Christina Chambreau, DVM from May 3-5, 1997.
I have 21 hours with Jeff Levy, DVM May 2-4, 1998.
I was introduced to Belgian homeopath Henny Heudens-Mast by way of audio tapes of her "Practical Use of Miasmatic Theory" seminar, Portland, OR ... August 9-13, 1997 for 30 hours.
I attended the following seminars by Henny in the Winter Park, FL area:
40 hours Jan. 31 - Feb. 4, 1998 "Unraveling the Miasms: Long Term Case Management of Chronic Disease".
41 hours January 19-24, 1999 "Case Analysis and Differential Materia Medica".
39 hours January 18-23, 2000 "Following the Path to Cure: Follow Ups and the Second Prescription".
39 hours January 23-28, 2001 "Remedy Differentiation Between Rubrics".
I have 12 hours credit from "Ritalin-Free & Rage-Free Kids: Homeopathic Solutions" with Robert Ullman N.D. & Judyth Reichenberg-Ullman M.S.W., N.D. December 2-3, 2000.
I also have 11 CEUs from The Annual Homeopathy Conference sponsored by NCH April 16-20, 1999, and lots of one day workshops and study group lessons. I have more than 500 hours of classroom time, and countless more during the study of cases I have taken.
I have been in actual practice since 1998. I have treated people most of the time, but because of my love for animals, I have some training directly related to veterinary homeopathy, and I have on occasion treated dogs, cats, horses, chickens... well, you get the idea.
